Tax
Increment Financing (TIF) continues to be a common tool used by governmental
authorities to help spur development within their boundaries. This CLE
provides an introduction to TIF. Topics covered include: basic principles
of TIF,
types
of TIF districts, eligible uses of TIF revenues, steps in
the TIF process, ongoing compliance requirements, and common terms found in agreements providing TIF assistance
to developers.
