Billions of dollars of construction related goods and
services are procured through
public contracts each year. The term “bid protest”
refers to the mechanisms by which a contractor seeking government contracts may protest public solicitations
and contract awards that violate procurement statutes, regulations, or other applicable law and
seek a remedy.
Lunch and registration will begin at 12:00 p.m. The
program will begin at 12:15 p.m.

Steve Champlin, former head of Dorsey
& Whitney LLP’s Construction Practice Group and presently a U of M Law
School adjunct professor teaching construction law and arbitrator
Alex Hontos, a current Dorsey partner in the Firm’s
Construction Practice Group and former government-contracts lawyer with the Department of
Justice in Washington,
D.C.
