Effective use of Drug and Alcohol Testing in your Custody Case

Event Description

As family law practitioners, we frequently encounter allegations of substance abuse in our custody cases.  Being able to prove or disprove allegations of substance abuse can be the crucial evidence needed to prove your client’s case.  We will be discussing the different testing methods available to document substance abuse along with the limitations of those testing methods.  We will also discuss some of the common questions of myths about testing, such as will I get a positive result if I eat a poppy seed muffing prior to the test, or my spouse really does have a substance abuse problem, but she bought something off the internet to pass the test.  This presentation is intended to help you decide what testing method may be the best for your fact situation, or how to interpret testing that has already been completed.
