All past and future pro bono volunteers are invited to attend a CLE program
that is being presented for past pro bono volunteers to thank them for their
services. The program is also available for people willing to become a
volunteer.
This three-hour CLE program will focus on various aspects of student loan law
including a survey of eight circuit student loan hardship discharge cases as
well as an update of new developments in other circuits. The second part of the
program will focus on the nuts and bolts of student loan litigation and the do’s
and don'ts of representing a debtor in a hardship discharge case. The final
portion of the program will be a survey of the rehabilitation options outside of
bankruptcy including the Loan Repayment Assistance Program, Administrative
Hardship Discharge, the Ford Program and other government employee repayment
assistance programs.

Future Pro Bono Volunteers : Agreement to provide future
volunteer services on a piecework basis: e.g. a commitment to handle a Chapter 7
filing pro bono; a commitment to staff the Bankruptcy Advice Clinic for two
sessions; or a commitment to be on the panel for letter-writing, and to serve as
needed, for one year.
All Other Attendees : $30.00 suggested donation to the Judge
Nancy C. Dreher Memorial Fellowship. To pay
