Event Description
Changes on the Horizon and
Opportunities for New Lawyers
Deadline to Register:
December 6, 2016
New lawyers may be nervous about the debate surrounding alternative legal models, such as
limited license
legal practitioners, and what it can mean for the future of their
practice. Join us and help us close the information gap. Nationally-recognized
speaker
Ellie Krug will
tell us about
what types of alternative legal models are being considered, what a "limited
license legal practitioner" is, and what gaps these models aim to close in our justice system. Ms. Krug will also share practical insights about how new lawyers can capitalize now on current gaps by telling us about underutilized niche areas and the benefit of "low bono" services.
The New Lawyers Section Business Meeting
with round table discussion will follow the CLE at 6:00 pm.
This
informative and timely CLE will be immediately followed by the New Lawyers'
Section monthly business meeting where we will debate the official position, if
any, the New Lawyers' Section will take with respect to alternative practitioner
models. Come to learn and
have your voice heard on this vital
topic.
