Deadline to Register: September 28, 2016
Few
things can benefit a law firm more than building strong leaders. Vogel Law Firm
is a prime example of this, and one key reason for that is a strong mentoring
program. Tami Norgard, a managing partner there, mentored Jade Rosenfeldt, a
partner at the firm. Now, they speak first-hand about the key attributes of a
successful mentor/mentee relationship. Rosenfeldt knows how much can be gained
in a career by having someone assist in building the “myth of competence,” and
Norgard can illustrate how her mentorship fostered improved policies and
opportunities at their firm. Norgard and Rosenfeldt will discuss the different
type of mentors every new hire should have, from a first-year of employment
mentor, to a transitional mentor to help climb the ladder or a more permanent long-term mentor. They will also share how navigating the ladder to success in business can
be made easier by intentionally fostering the right mentoring relationship(s), as
well as the benefits gained by managers while prompting
mentees to reach the next rung.
