"Ethical Implications of the Digital Age"

The Solo-Small Firm Section and Shepard Data Services are thrilled to bring you this exciting CLE. Topics to be covered in this comprehensive presentation include:

1. the Committee’s decision to revise the Comments to the Model Rules regarding the uses, benefits and risks of legal technologies

2. how these changes affect the competency requirements regarding eDiscovery

3. confidentiality of clients’ data

4. use of social media, outsourcing legal services “in the cloud”

5. legal holds and data preservation 

Recent case decisions involving ethics sanctions for mishandling of electronic data, client privacy and confidentiality breaches, and malpractice errors with electronic evidence will be highlighted.
