"Maintaining Your Solo-Small Law Firm Practice in
Today's Legal Climate"

Practicing law in today's legal climate often presents many unique challenges for the solo or small firm practitioner.   This CLE is designed to address those challenges by bringing you the experience and feedback from a panel of local solo small firm attorneys.  We will address a variety of issues, such as billing practices, use of technology, and maintaining an effective practice as a solo small firm attorney.

This moderated panel discussion will be addressing various issues that we all deal with every day such as:

- the role of technology in our firm
-what does it mean to go paperless?
-how did you get your start and what were the obstacles?
-fee agreements and getting paid
-disaster planning (what if you are ill, how will your work get done?)
-cloud computing and confidentiality; backing up your computer system
-are there unique issues solo practitioners face in the Northland

Brenda Denton (Moderator), Denton Law Office

Terry A. Trogdon (Panelist), Gerlach, Beaumier & Trogdon
