The MSBA's Public Utilities Section Presents

"The New Normal at OAH: A Review of Changes Made in 2011 and Innovations Planned for 2012"

Like all state agencies, the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) is impacted by reductions in state revenue and works to deliver a set of high-quality services to the public – even in times of economic stress. Assistant Chief Administrative Law Judge Eric L. Lipman will update the Public Utilities Law Section on how OAH has managed a series of budgetary, staffing and technological changes in 2011. Also, Judge Lipman will outline a series of new innovations that the tribunal hopes to complete in calendar year 2012. For lawyers interested in learning how OAH's handling of utility matters has changed this year, and may change next year, this will be a not-to-miss presentation.
