The MSBA's Public Utilities Law Section Presents
"Reliability and the Bulk Energy System"
"Reliability" in the bulk energy system concerns the adequacy of electric power supply and the security of the system to remain intact even after sudden disturbances.
Our November speaker, attorney Miggie Cramblit, will present an overview of how energy companies and their telecomm providers are affected by NERC reliability standards.
She also will include a focus on the development and implementation of cybersecurity standards to ensure reliability of bulk power.
Miggie Cramblit is a utility lawyer with many years of experience as general counsel for a number of utility companies in the central United States. One of the founders of the MSBA Public Utility Section, she currently serves as the Director for External Affairs for the Midwest Reliability Organization, which is dedicated to ensuring the reliability of the bulk power system ("the grid") in the North Central region of North America.
