The MSBA's Practice Management & Marketing Section Presents
"Connecting Cultures: Best Practices with Interpreters and your Client"
When individuals come from different cultures, languages differ, and so do cultural norms that affect communication and understanding. This hour long CLE, taught by an experienced judicial interpreter, will teach you what you need to know to skillfully interact with your limited English proficient clients. We will first discuss cultural differences that can lead to misunderstandings. Then we will discuss specifics related to interpretation and strategies for most effectively using your interpreter.
