"Attorneys’ Use of Groupons for Advertising: Ethical Considerations in Minnesota and Beyond"

Mr. Baland will address ethical considerations for attorney advertising in general, and in particular will address special concerns regarding attorneys' use of Groupons for advertising. The state of North Carolina was the first to permit the use of Groupons, and it has sparked some debate and reaction in other states. Mr. Baland will address the pros and cons of this form of advertising and will discuss how other states have approached the subject, including Minnesota.

Following the CLE, there will be a short time for networking and to enjoy some free food. Following the CLE , the MSBA New Lawyers Section meeting will be held. As you look ahead to your 2013 marketing and advertising, plan to join the New Lawyers Section for an informative and helpful discussion on the subject!
