Labor & Employment Law News
The Section’s valuable e-newsletter, Labor & Employment Law E-News, contains summaries of new state and federal labor and employment statutes, developments at the NLRB and EEOC, and summaries of recent Minnesota and federal case law in a broad range of labor and employment-related topics. Many local attorneys contribute well-written surveys and summaries to make this e-newsletter thorough, complete, and accurate. Subscriptions are free with Section membership. Section members are notified via e-mail when new updates are available.

Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute
The MSBA Labor & Employment Law Section is a co-sponsor of the annual Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute, which is held in late May each year.

Annual Labor and Employment Law Institute
The Fall Labor and Employment Law Institute, co-sponsored with the NLRB and EEOC, covers advanced labor and employment law topics. Attendees have the opportunity to discuss practice issues with experienced practitioners in small roundtable discussion groups.

Liaison with Courts, Legislature and Agencies
The Labor and Employment Law Section is a source of information and input between practitioners on the one hand, and state courts, federal courts, the legislature, the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Minnesota Department of Human Rights on the other hand.

Diversity
The Section strives to include a broad range of participants representing diversity in practice, geography, gender, race, sexual orientation, disability, etc. While the Section has an excellent record of broad participation in its activities and governance, it continually strives for improvement in these efforts. The Section works primarily through ongoing committees reporting to its governing council.
