"Introduction to Medical Assistance for Family Law Attorneys"
This presentation will review the basic eligibility rules for medical assistance long-term care benefits and highlight medical assistance eligibility standards that deviate from general family law principles, including treatment of non-marital property, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, property settlements on dissolution of marriage, and maintenance obligations payable by a medical assistance recipient to a former spouse.
