"New Law Update – Changes to Minnesota’s Statutory Short Form Power of Attorney"
New law makes changes to Minnesota’s Statutory Short Form Power of Attorney (Minn. Stat. Chapter 523). The law affects the Power of Attorney form as well as the underlying law. Most of these changes will be effective on January 1, 2014.
This one-hour free webcast will explain the history of this new law which originated with the Vulnerable Adult Justice Project (VAJP) and walk through the changes. The presenters are two estate planning and elder law practitioners who sat on the VAJP committee responsible for the initial draft of the bill.
