The MSBA's Civil Litigation and Solo and Small Firm Sections Present
"The Art of Effective Motion Practice | Part 1: Litigation Series"
Motion practice is an art, not science. One of the best ways to learn how to argue motions effectively is to watch effective lawyers do it. Another is to hear judges and experienced practitioners give tips on what does and does not work. Part 1 of the MSBA Civil Litigation and Solo & Small Firm Sections' Litigation Series gives you both.
Watch and learn as well known lawyers argue mock motions before Judge Jay Quam, Judge Kerry Meyer and Judge Jeannice Reding. The mock arguments will be followed by a discussion filled with tips on how to prepare for your arguments and how to present yourself well.
