The New Amendments to UCC Article 9 in Minnesota
Last year, the American Law Institute and Uniform Law Commission approved the first significant changes to UCC Article 9 since the substantial revision in 2001. Minnesota was one of the first states to enact this important legislation.
The 2010 Amendments to Article 9 will have a significant impact on the requirements for UCC searching and filing, including debtor name sufficiency, record contents and the UCC forms. Attorneys should be prepared to comply with the new rules when the amendments take effect.
Join us to learn more about:
- The new debtor name sufficiency rules.
- Changes to financing statement content requirements.
- The new National UCC Forms.
- Transition rules after the effective date.
