Appellate Practice Section Luncheon
Minnesota Supreme Court Law Clerk Reunion
Sponsored by The MSBA Appellate Practice Section and the Minnesota Supreme Court Historical Society
"Two Perspectives on Two Supreme Courts"
Adam Samaha clerked for Chief Justice Alexander M. (Sandy) Keith on Minnesota Supreme Court and then for Justice John Paul Stevens on the United States Supreme Court. He is now a law professor whose work focuses on judicial decision making and the relationship of courts to the rest of society. From the perspective of a former clerk and a scholar of court systems, Professor Samaha will offer commentary on how these two appellate courts function and how individual justices operate within them. His remarks will include thoughts on the legacy of Justice Stevens, who will retire this summer.
