The United States Supreme Court Preview: 2011 Term
Justice Stras will preview the upcoming United States Supreme Court Term, which includes cases dealing with the admissibility of eyewitness identifications, the scope of the Fourth Amendment, and what constitutes effective representation by counsel at the plea bargaining stage. Justice Stras will also review several important cases from last year’s Term including cases covering the First Amendment, the Confrontation Clause, and the Federal Arbitration Act. Finally, Justice Stras will spend some time talking about trends in the Roberts Court, including the impact of Justice Elena Kagan.
