"U.S. v. Jones, Emerging Technologies and the Fourth Amendment"

Professor Slobogin will analyze this year's decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in U.S. v. Jones and evaluate the implications of emerging technologies for Fourth Amendment jurisprudence.

Speaker:

Professor Christopher Slobogin , Vanderbilt University Law School

Professor Slobogin is the Milton R. Underwood Chair in Law, Professor of Psychiatry, and the Director of the Criminal Justice Program at Vanderbilt Law School.  His teaching and research interests lie in the fields of criminal law and procedure, mental health law, and evidence law.  He has authored more than 100 articles, books, and chapters on topics relating to criminal procedure, mental health law, and evidence.  According to the Leiter Report, Professor Slobogin is one of the 10 most cited criminal law and procedure law professors in the nation.  Professor Slobogin has served as the reporter for the American Bar Association's Task Force on Law Enforcement and Technology.
