Two prominent franchise lawyers (one a franchisor, the other a franchisee) will lead a wide-ranging discussion on such topics as "what is a franchise," the regulatory scheme governing franchising, the most frequently litigated issues in franchising, and the antitrust issues that arise in the franchise context.

Joe Fittante is a member of the American Bar Association Franchise Forum on Franchising Governing Committee and was a co-chair for the 2008 Annual Forum on Franchising Program which was held in Austin, Texas. He is also the current Chair of the Franchise Committee of the Minnesota State Bar Association Business Law Section.

Ron Gardner is the Chair-Elect of the American Bar Association's Forum on Franchising and its current Program Officer. He is listed by Chambers USA as one of the Top 15 franchise lawyers in America and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for five years running.
