Deadline to Register: Friday, February

The
preference in many contracts, statutes and court orders for arbitration means
qualified arbitrators are always in demand. Representatives from the American
Arbitration Association and the Better Business Bureau will describe the various
opportunities for arbitrators their organizations provide and how to get on
their rosters, as well as, provide tips for avoiding the pitfalls that can be
caused by poorly written awards. Attorney Lynn Noland, who has been an
arbitrator for over twenty years, will share his personal insights on
writing effective awards and review the current law governing arbitrators and
awards.
A brief section business meeting will be
held at Noon followed immediately by the CLE presentation from 12:15-1:15
p.m.
Lunch is not provided but please feel free to bring your own! Soft drinks and bottled
water will be provided.
