Antitrust Law 101 Seminar and Social

Registration begins at 3:45 pm with the program starting at 4:00 pm; the social follows at 5:30 pm.

Program Description: 

This program presents a 90-minute overview of the antitrust laws.  It is designed as both an introductory and refresher program, with a focus on issue spotting for attorneys who do not practice in the area.  The program will address: horizontal and vertical restraints under Section 1 of the Sherman Act and the requirement of concerted action; per se and rule of reason treatment of those restraints, with a discussion of relevant markets and market power; monopolization and attempts to monopolize under Section 2 of the Sherman Act; high-level merger analysis; state and international antitrust issues; civil and criminal enforcement and civil liability for antitrust violations under the Clayton Act.

A social hour will follow the presentation, including drinks and light refreshments.
