Volunteer and Get Involved

Practice Resource Development

Over half of MSBA members use practicelaw and mndocs.

  • practicelaw includes legal forms, trust accounting guides, links to statutes and court rules, and Jump Starts. Available only to MSBA members, free of charge.
  • mndocs is designed to generate documents quickly and cost effectively. More than 250 forms in a variety of practice areas.

Volunteer attorneys - such as Jayne Sykora and Michael Frasier, pictured - work collaboratively with MSBA staff to: review and revise forms, resources, and related webpages; identify, and possibly draft, any new forms deemed essential and missing from the form set.

To practicelaw opportunities: Update Criminal Law or Civil Litigation Forms - Volunteer by Dec. 2

We are seeking 12 criminal and 12 civil litigation attorneys to work collaboratively with MSBA staff to evaluate and update our online forms in the criminal and civil litigation practicelaw libraries. We welcome your assistance in revising and updating current forms, as well as your additional suggestions and proposed forms for inclusion in the practicelaw library.
  • Time Commitment: approximately 40 hours over four-to-six months (just 1 to 2 hours per week on average). The goal is to complete the work in the spring 2017.
  • All of the communications can be done electronically or by phone if that is your preference, although you would have the option of attending a kickoff meeting in person.
