Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

What diversity, equity and inclusion goals did the Section include in the 2022-2023 work plan, how did you approach these goals, and what was the result?

As a result of changing circumstances, the council spent time this year working to engage with a new DEI committee chair.  In addition, the Council educated itself on additional aspects of DEI and began working towards a focused approach to engage with law schools and younger members of the bar to encourage membership in the Section.

Other Section Accomplishments

  • The Section co-sponsored the Annual Real Estate Institute with Minnesota CLE.

  • Much of the year was spent working to integrate the section, including working through updated by-laws changes which will be submitted to the membership and MSBA, RCBA and HCBA, as appropriate, for adoption.
