Annual Meeting and Election Results

The Section’s Annual Meeting was held on May 24, 2017 and 26 people attended.

The following Officers were elected to serve on the Section’s Governing Council starting July 1, 2017:

Diversity and Inclusion 

Section conducted a CLE that qualified for elimination of bias credit focused on the handling of sexual assault and harassment within the military justice system, and the protection and legal rights of sexual assault survivors.    

Other Section Accomplishments

The Section’s amicus committee submitted a joint amicus brief (with the Family Law Section) in Mattson v. Mattson before the Minnesota Court of Appeals analyzing the effect of a United States Supreme Court decision on negotiated division of a veteran’s military disability benefits in a martial dissolution.
