Business Law Section

The MSBA Business Law Section drafts, proposes, and reviews legislation such as improvements to the Business Corporation Act, the Uniform Partnership Act, the Limited Liability Companies Act, the Uniform Commercial Code, and the Non-profit Corporation Act. Committees monitor developments in their specific areas. The section conducts an annual Business Law Institute in conjunction with Minnesota CLE, presents breakfast and lunch hour CLE programs, and offers pro bono opportunities for business attorneys in Minnesota.

The MSBA Business Law Section invites you to join us for appetizers and drinks at the

Women in Business Law Networking Event 

to be held on

Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. 

in the Ballroom at the 
Woman’s Club of Minneapolis! 
The purpose of this event is to encourage men and women in business law to join together to further communication and collaboration between different sectors of the business community. It is also a chance to gain knowledge about different sectors of the business community through selected speakers. A formal invitation with instructions on how to RSVP will follow. The event will be free to MSBA members and law students, but Non-MSBA Members are encouraged to attend.

We are currently looking for sponsors for the event.  The sponsorship will go to fund a one-time summer internship in business law for a student who demonstrates the passion and ambition to practice business law. The minimum fee for sponsorship is $250.  Sponsors will be recognized on the invitation, Business Law section website and at the event. Organizations or individuals interested in sponsoring should contact Sue Bores (sbores@mnbar.org / 612-278-6325) and request that she send you an invoice.
