Annual Meeting and Election Results

The Section’s Annual Meeting was held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Kieran’s Irish Pub.

The following officers were elected to serve on the Section’s Governing Council from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018:

Chair: Mychal Bruggeman

Vice-Chair: Lauri Schmid

Secretary: Craig Andresen

Treasurer: Cynthia Hegarty

Diversity and Inclusion
What diversity and inclusion goals did the Section include in the 2016-2017 work plan, how did you approach these goals, and what was the result?

The section pushed to have an “elimination of bias” program at the October 2016 Institute, and we were able to schedule Chase L. Andersen, who discussed when clients are suffering from substance abuse, addition, gambling, or other impairments. This presentation was well attended and beneficial to the membership.

Other Section Accomplishments

Summer Boat Cruise, summer 2016, on the Mississippi River. This was a fun event that allowed for section members to network.
