The MSBA's Human Rights Committee Presents
"Becoming the Land of 10,000 Languages: Effectively Working with Interpreters and Navigating other Challenges when Representing Immigrants"
An expert panel will discuss resources available for immigrant clients, the logistics of choosing and using an interpreter, funding for interpreters, particular legal challenges involved in using interpeters and emerging legal issues. There will be plenty of time to respond to audience questions. Program panelists include Ellie Krug, Executive Director, Call for Justice LLC; April Cedillo, Co-Owner and Interpreter, Link Interpret; and Justin Cummins, Founding Partner, Cummins & Cummins. Brian Rochel of Halunen & Associates will moderate the panel.
