Diversity Pipeline - Acts as a convener for pipeline programs in the state. Integrates diversity into committee's programs. Develops and partners with programs that facilitate the diversity pipeline (i.e. Youth in Government). Lawyers in the Schools - Identifies and produces curriculum for the Committee's in-class presentations centered around Constitution Day (September), Presidents' Day (February) and Law Day (May). Establishes guidelines and identifies volunteers and schools. Outreach/Partnerships Subcommittee - Charged with building relationships with other individuals and organizations, including schools and education associations, working in the area of civic education. Policy Subcommittee - Considers general policy issues that affect the Civic Education Committee and whether to recommend that the MSBA take formal positions on policy issues relating to civic education in the state or nation. Sponsors the "Citizen Lawyer Award."
