This program explores how race played a role in the
arrest, charging, prosecution, and defense of the Mall of America protesters.
What do the local Black Lives Matter and Mall of America protests reveal about
bias in Minnesota’s legal system? What are the government’s interests in the
protest cases? Why do protesters continue to speak out? How can attorneys become
more aware of racial bias in the Minnesota legal system and what can they do to
avoid it.
