Recent media attention
to the backlog in Veterans Benefits Claims has caused an increase in attorney
interest in this field. This CLE session will address the need for attorney
involvement, the requirements for attorneys working in this field, and an
overview of the application and appeals process. Presenters will include a
representative of the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, a private
practice attorney who represents veterans in appeals cases, and a pro bono
attorney who previously represented the Department of Justice in Veterans Benefits Claims.
Lunch and registration will begin at 11:45 am. The program will begin at approximately 12:00 pm.
