Deadline to Register: Tuesday, September 15, 2015
Today’s mantra for data
breach preparation has become: "It’s not a matter of if, but when." In this
atmosphere, appropriate planning for breach prevention and timely response is
critical. This program will utilize a real-world case study to identify the pre-
and post-breach decisions that could be the difference between voluntary
remedies or multi-million dollar penalties. Our panel will draw upon their
experience working with health care providers, health plans, and related
business associates to:
- Discuss the current trends
and risk areas in breach prevention;
- Analyze the components and
timeline of breach response; and
- Identify opportunities for
organizations to optimally manage a breach.
Speakers Stacy Harper and
Careen Martin will provide insight on how they assist health care clients in
navigating these issues and Randy Romes, a principal in the Information Security
Services Group at CliftonLarsonAllen, will offer commentary as a specialist in
providing IT audits and security assessments for a wide range of industries.
Please join the Health Law Section for a practical discussion of this
ever-present topic that continues to dominate headlines. Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by the
program from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. Special meal requests need to be
received no later than Tuesday, September 15.
