The past several years have seen
EPA implementing or proposing many changes to Clean Air Act regulations. Despite
voluntary emission reduction efforts, improved technologies, regulatory
compliance, and cleaner air, there is uncertainty about whether Minnesota will
remain in compliance with federal air quality standards, which are predicted to
become more stringent over time. In response, Minnesota’s Environmental
Initiative brought together business, government and environmental leaders to
form the Clean Air Minnesota Work Group to translate ideas into air quality
projects that yield measurable emissions reductions that will allow business
growth while sustaining the environment and health.
A panel of experts discusses
these Clean Air Act challenges, including an update from the Clean Air Minnesota
Work Group.
