Doing Business in South Korea from a Legal Perspective

This CLE will provide participants with information about the economy and jurisprudence of South Korea. The speaker will introduce certain salient aspects of foreign direct investment as well as the impact of US-Korea Free Trade Agreement on the legal services industry in South Korea, and discuss some unique business customs and social norms in South Korea that might help American businesspersons/lawyers understand the way business and transactions are handled in South Korea.

There will be a Council meeting at 11:30 a.m. The program will begin at Noon. 

Speaker:

Youn-Jin Kim,  Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly LLP
Mr. Kim has both Korean and U.S. law degrees, and experience working as an attorney in both South Korea and the United States.
