IOLTA Ethics: Trends, Rules, and History of the IOLTA Program

The Minnesota IOLTA program is 30 years old this year.  Do you know its interesting history?

Presenters will:
• Review the Rules of Professional Responsibility governing IOLTA accounts;
• Discuss common trends and ethical issues arising from IOLTA account management;
• Explain the history of the IOLTA program nationally and in Minnesota, including the connection between IOLTA accounts, funding for legal aid and pro bono; and
• Discuss the MSBA Prime Partners program to support IOLTA revenue

Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.
