For individuals experiencing
arrest and conviction, the consequences of a criminal conviction extend far
beyond court sanctions. With access to criminal records information being
collected, documented and utilized in screening for employment and housing at an
all time high, attorneys practicing in the area of criminal law must understand
how data is harvested and used; and remedies under the law. This CLE will
break-down the current practice of how records are created, stored and
harvested, and illuminate individual rights under current state and federal
law.
This event is being co-sponsored by the University of Minnesota
Student Legal Services.
Please join
us for happy hour at Lyon's Pub after the CLE to continue the
conversation regarding this hot topic.
