Although the US Supreme Court remanded
the Grimm appeal to lower courts, the discussion about the legal rights
of transgender and gender-nonconforming people is guaranteed to rage on. This
two-part session will offer both a review of key areas of substantive law
affecting this population (including areas such as identity documents,
employment and educational rights, and the ever-riveting area of bathroom law),
as well as an exploration of key provisions of the Rules of Professional Conduct
and the Code of Judicial Conduct which affect the practice of law.
