Since 1940, federal law
has protected those employees who leave their civilian jobs to serve our nation in
uniform. The presenters will discuss the broad protections for service member-employees and
their families under USERRA and FMLA, and how those laws impact Minnesota
employers. Topics will include recent developments in dealing with disabilities incurred
during military service, benefits for returning service members, leave provisions under
FMLA for their family members, and recent case law regarding the enforceability
of arbitration clauses.
This CLE is approved for credit
