Art & Entertainment Section CLE & Happy Hour: Top the Charts without the Record Label–The Rise of Independent Musicians

Event Description

Deadline to Register:  Tuesday, May 3, 2016

A big hit at SXSW 2016, this presentation will explore the practical business and legal considerations required of independent, self-developing music artists and their management and financial supporters.  Paul Bezilla, a music attorney with over 25 years’ experience, will address various subjects, including alternative structures for artist development without the involvement of major record companies or publishers.  Added bonus:  Paul will be performing famous bass licks in between dramatic pauses for your entertainment and optimal educational effect.  In other words, you don’t want to miss this.

Following the CLE, please stay for a Happy Hour and Mixer.  If  you can't make it to the CLE, Art & Entertainment Law section members are welcome to join us at 5:00 for happy hour!
