Where does energy law end and environmental law begin? Do they share
the same policy goals? Energy and environmental law frequently intersect
in the production and transmission of energy. Ingrid Bjorklund will
discuss common areas of intersection from an energy lawyer’s perspective and
what practitioners should know.
Presenter:
Ingrid Bjorklund is the principal attorney of The Law Office of Ingrid Bjorklund, LLC. Ingrid has represented utilities and renewable energy developers in addition to working on regulatory matters on behalf of the state and federal government, including the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission. Ingrid is also an Adjunct Professor of Energy Law at William Mitchell College of Law.
Ingrid earned her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and served on the William Mitchell Law Review. She holds an M.A. in environmental resource policy from The George Washington University and a B.A. from St. Catherine University in international relations. Ingrid is the Immediate Past Chair of the MSBA’s Public Utilities Law Section. She also served on the Minnesota Second District Ethics Committee and the Board of Supervisors for the Ramsey Conservation District.
