Roundtable Discussion Presented by the Staff Attorneys of the Standing Chapter 13 Trustee

Event Description

Margaret Culp and Karl Johnson, staff attorneys to Minnesota’s standing chapter 13 trustee, present a roundtable discussion focusing on what the chapter 13 office would like to see from practitioners in the drafting of bankruptcy schedules, preparation of chapter 13 plans, and discussing other topics of interest in chapter 13 practice.  Subcommittee Chair Craig Andresen, and outgoing Chair Ronald Lundquist, will moderate.  The presentation will last for 50 minutes minimum.  Besides the above topics, the presenters will discuss chapter 13 plans providing for direct payment of student loans (In re Copeland and In re Jordahl), the recent Fifth Circuit decision authorizing payout of debtor funds after conversion to chapter 7, treatment of foster care payments as disposable income, and the Eighth Circuit decision finally approving lien stripping in chapter 13.
