Veterans often face long waiting periods when pursuing claims for service-connected disability benefits. If a claim is denied, the appeal process can take several more years. Competent and zealous veterans advocacy can have a significant positive impact on the process for obtaining benefits. This CLE will present an overview of the claims process and important practice pointers for successfully assisting a veteran in obtaining service-connected disability benefits.
