The Ins and Outs of Exemptions and Pro Bono Volunteer

This presentation will discuss exemptions in and
out of bankruptcy. The first-panel
will address Minnesota and Federal exemptions and claiming exemptions outside of
bankruptcy. The second-panel will address Bankruptcy Code exemptions, how they
compare to Minnesota exemptions, and claiming exemptions in
bankruptcy.
This
CLE is sponsored by the MSBA's Bankruptcy Section Pro Bono Committee. Please note that by attending the CLE program, attendees are agreeing to
provide future volunteer services on a piecework basis: e.g. a commitment to
handle a Chapter 7 filing pro bono; a commitment to staff the Bankruptcy Advice
Clinic for two sessions; or a commitment to be on the panel for letter-writing,
and to serve as needed, for one year.

presentation of the Raeder Larson Public Service Award, which is presented to
individuals who have delivered outstanding service through the support and
provision of pro bono legal services in the bankruptcy and debtor-creditor
areas. The reception is a free
event, but, an RSVP is requested for food and beverage planning
purposes.
