FDA’s Proposed Regulations Under the Food Safety Modernization Act & How Food Companies Can Prepare for Compliance

Event Description

Deadline to Register:  Monday, March 3, 2014

The 2011 Food Safety Modernization Act (“FSMA”) requires the development of comprehensive, prevention-based controls to protect the safety of the U.S. food supply.  Over the past year, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued the major proposed regulations required by FSMA.  The public comment period is still open on some of those rules, and many regulations are anticipated to be published as final rules in the coming year.

This CLE will provide an update on the implementation of FSMA, including:

Details on the FDA’s major proposed regulations;
Comments received by the FDA on the proposed regulations;
What the regulations will mean for the food industry;
The anticipated timing of required compliance; and
What the food industry can do now to prepare for the anticipated regulatory requirements.

A hot breakfast will be served starting at 7:45 a.m. followed by the CLE program from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m.  Special meal requests need to be received no later than Monday, March 3.
