Representing Low-Income Clients in the Courts and at the Capitol

Two Legal Aid lawyers will discuss how they each, in a very different, but related way, provide zealous representation for low-income Minnesotans.   Luke Grundman, a staff attorney at Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, will describe his day-to-day work providing advice and direct representation to clients facing legal problems involving consumer financial matters, including foreclosure, eviction, and contract for deed scams.  Ron Elwood, the supervising attorney for the Legal Services Advocacy Project – the advocacy arm of Legal Aid – will describe his and the project’s work to improve the lives of Legal Aid’s clients through public policy advocacy  at the Minnesota Legislature.
