Mark Ryan, Director of Litigation, Department of Justice Antitrust
Division, will discuss the Department’s highly publicized lawsuit against Apple
and five different book publishers regarding the pricing of e-books. Mark will
offer comments on the consumer protection issues it presented and how the
E-books case fits within the broader priorities of the Antitrust Division. Looking beyond the E-books case, Mark
will provide a perspective on where the DOJ may be focusing efforts and
enforcement in the year to come.
Lunch
will begin at 11:45 a.m. followed by the CLE program from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Special meal requests need to be
received no later than Friday, February 7.
