Hamline University Professors Ken Fox and Sharon Press will explore the
concept of “wicked negotiation problems” and what lawyers, negotiators and
mediators can learn about and from them. Wicked problems are those
ill-defined, ambiguous challenges for which even defining “the problem” can be
elusive, let alone achieving a “solution.” Ken and Sharon will draw from
their experiences participating in an international multi-year "Rethinking
Negotiation Teaching Project" and from designing and teaching an International
Business Negotiation Certificate Program and will use a real "wicked problem" to
guide the discussion.
