Have you ever had a client tell you they think their cell phone is bugged? Or had a client who feels like their partner always knows where they are? While technology is helpful and at times a lifeline for many domestic and sexual violence victims, sometimes it can be used against victims and endanger their lives.

Practical information for attorneys on technology use and misuse is difficult to find. Therefore, the Domestic Abuse Committee of the Family Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association is offering this session addressing old and new technology and the ways that it can help and harm domestic and sexual violence victims. Topics will include specific suggestions for attorneys, new hardware and software applications, and ideas to help protect domestic and sexual violence victims.

Interested in joining the Domestic Abuse Committee of the MSBA Family Law Section? Contact Rana Alexander.
