Breakfast and registration will start at
7:30 a.m. The CLE program will begin at 8:00
a.m.
Recent cases offer important lessons about the
government’s enforcement positions and creative defenses available during a
fraud and abuse investigation. They also suggest risk management
strategies that health care organizations can use to avoid trouble. The
session will describe the practical significance of key Stark, Anti-Kickback and
Medicare billing investigations and litigation. It will also cover the
safe harbors issued last year protecting some cost sharing, free transportation
and other programs and describe some other regulatory developments.
